What is Feng Shui?

Are you suffering from restless sleep, headaches, digestive, respiratory or skin problems? Before you take a trip to your GP to stock up on pharmaceuticals it may be worth looking at the environment in which you are spending your time.

In Your Element uses the ancient art of Feng Shui, and the modern version, "Sick Building Syndrome" to analyse the impact of your every day environment on your health.

In addition, your home could be contributing to financial difficulties, relationship concerns and lack of career opportunities.

By applying Feng Shui to your surroundings you have the opportunity to improve every aspect of your life.

Naomi, from In Your Element, is committed to considering natural alternatives to improve the health and wellbeing of her clients. Naomi is available for Feng Shui consultations for homes and business, and also stocks a number of chemical free dishwashing, laundry and general cleaning products.

Feng Shui is to buildings, what acupucture is to bodies.

Feng Shui is the philosophy that the environment we live in has the ability to impact our health and relationships, wealth and ability to prosper.

Feng Shui, an element of traditional Chinese medicine, is based on the concept of Qi (pronounced ‘chee’). Through the practice of Feng Shui we can identify the energetic qualities that are coming into and moving around a building. By selecting materials based on their Qi we can enhance positive energies or weaken negative ones.

Where an acupuncturist uses needles or massage to stimulate qi around the body, a Feng Shui consultant uses furniture, sound, colour and movement to enhance your environment.

Using a combination of three schools of Feng Shui the client's home or business will be assessed based on its placement on the land in reference to water and mountains (form school); the energies coming into the building based on the 8 compass directions (compass school); and the impact of time on that building (flying star school).

Flying Star school is the traditional Chinese Feng Shui and is based on numerology which is the ‘language’ of the universe. It is considered superior to the other schools due to the fact it takes into account the influence of time on a building. Flying Star school is the most complex, accurate and powerful form of Feng Shui. Changes should not be made to a building without an understanding of the Flying Stars in that area.

Many clients of Feng Shui report a remarkable difference in their health, sleeping quality, family communications, job prospects and academic advancement.
